Who are LG Wine & Liquor?

LG Wine & Liquor is an alcohol supply company founded by Laurie Greenwood and based in Northern Queensland.  Representing a number of prestigious, exclusive and independent wine producers, LG pride themselves by offering excellent service and choice.

LG Wine & Liquor offers representation to a number of independent alcohol producers.  Providing access to the unique and diverse region of Northern Queensland.

What is our mission?

 To provide North & Central Queensland with the highest standard of support to all customers and venues in relation to wine and liquor supply. To deliver unparalleled advice and implementation of wine selections for venues, functions and training of staff for both on and off premise business partners.

Why chose us?

With extensive industry experience across Australia including WA, SA, NT, VIC and QLD, Laurie noticed that most of the large wine companies lacked an understanding of regional Queensland and it’s venues, often resulting in them struggling to adapt and meet local needs.  He made the decision to solve these issues and build a portfolio designed to meet the regions specific requirements for product, service and distribution.

 LG Wine & Liquor specialise in wine list creation, hosting memorable and educative wine dinners and functions along with staff training.  Partnered with Australian Liquor Marketers, Independent Liquor Group, Liquid Specialty Beverages and Collins Warehousing to deliver best practice in the supply of wine and liquor.

What locations do we service?

Based in Cairns, with offices in Cairns and Townsville we cover the Northern Queensland region stretching south to Rockhampton, north to Weipa and out west to Mt Isa and Longreach.



About Laurie Greenwood

Laurie Greenwood is the founder and driving force behind LG Wine & Liquor, with over 20 years’ experience in wine, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic beverages from all over Australia.

He gained a wealth of knowledge working with Maxxium Australia, Lion Nathan, Diageo, Asahi, Samuel Smith & Son, Negociants Australia, Coca Cola Amatil, Casella Wines and now looks after an impressive stable of wine companies as LG Wine & Liquor.

Laurie’s many achievements include winning rep of the year for Lion Nathan (Qld) in 2009 and Samuel Smith & Son (QLD and National) in 2017.  Driven by a desire to assist his customers in every way possible and with a passion to excel and learn, he is currently studying Level 3 in WSET wine.
